    A great barrel-aged Barleywine

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25 Beer poured brown with a very nice tan head. Nose is full of toffee, vanilla, and dark fruits. Taste is a toffee forward malt base that also yields a hint of caramel and prunes. Barrel brings some vanilla, oak, and a wee touch of bourbon. Finishes with a style appropriate sweetness. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, a tad thin for the style yet smooth. Overall, I love the flavor of this one, well done!
