West Coast dreamin'
Sierra Nevada is my favorite brewery so when I found out I could get readers choice delivered I was all over it. It's not the West Coast IPA I remember from the mid 2000's, it leans juicy in my opinion but it's still a good beer. Hazy's and juicy's have dominated for far too long, I'm not a fan, I was hoping this would be an old school West Coast but it is what it is. Great beer and great brewery. Support local

My new favorite IPA
Excellent IPA. Lots of old school pine and grapefruit; bitter, but not bracingly so. Lighter body, but enough malt backbone to stand up against the hops. One of the best beers I’ve had in a while.

SUPER CLEAN WITH A NICE BITTERNESS
Amazing Westie. Very dry throughout the palate. Super clean, nice bitterness builds and sticks around on the finish.

OUTSTANDING BALANCE!
Missing the DANK and the Bitterness kick which old style west coast IPA’s would have. I do not miss it. Appearance - 4.5 - Clear gold with a 1.5 finger white head and moderate lace Aroma - 4.5 - Lightly tropical, mild biscuit, citrus, mild pine, light herbal Taste - 4.5- Citrus, pine, grapefruit pith bitterness. Delicious. Mouth Feel - 4 - Medium body and carbonation. Smooth. Overall - 4.4 - Brilliantly balanced brew. There's a heavy Russian River influence here. I really like this. It is outstanding, but not world class.. Get it if you can.

PINEY & BITTER GOODNESS!
Solid WCIPA from a Justice League of Brewers. Piney, resinous, and bitter.

A Choice Brew
A much-anticipated, mighty collaboration between some CA titans (looking at you, SN and RR!). Pours a beautiful clear and bright golden amber. Big frothy white head, which sticks around a bit. Missing the quintessential SN lacing. Aroma right away made me smile. Cantaloupe, pineapple, pine, citrus, some lemon/lime and grape? Taste follows nose. Balanced. Highly quaffable. Missing the DANK and the Bitterness kick. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin. Flavor is there, but does not linger on the finish. Overall, met my expectations, but did not exceed. I figured with this lineup of collaborators, it'd be a palate-blasting, mind-blowing experience. It is outstanding, but not world class. Too many cooks in the kitchen? Anywho, I'm sure it was a good time brewing it, and it is, indeed, a good time drinking it. Getcha Pull! Cheers!

COLLABORATION MAGIC!!
An amazing West Coast IPA!! What a collaboration, with three of my favorite breweries (Pinthouse, Russian River & Sierra). I will definitely make a stop to visit Green Cheek when opportunity arrives. Great taste, refreshing, fruity, piney with a great finish. Please collaborate again or better yet continue to make it.

DELICIOUS, BUT NOT A 'WOW'
It is a delicious, well balanced, smooth, and drinkable West Coast IPA. However, not 5 stars because Sierra Nevada (almost) every time makes me exclaim "man, they (still) know what they are doing". This time however, delicious, but not a "wow" I am glad I spent $$$ on this.
